Easter 2013

Happy Easter from the Hudsons!  We are visiting Grandmom and Grandad in Alabama and are having a great time.  We all dressed up for church this morning and took some family pictures:

The Easter Bunny was good to us all!

Grandmom made a really great bunny cake and had festive decorations.

The kids got a kick out of opening their baskets of goodies.  Blair loves her princess pajamas

and Will was fascinated by the goldfish crackers.

The train on the back porch is always a hit and Will was big enough to ride it this year!

March Family Fun

The Hudson Household has been keeping busy recently.  Last Tuesday, our small group had a bonfire in Huntington Beach.  The kids loved roasting hot dogs and s'mores.

On Friday, Blair had her preschool open house.  She was very excited to show Mom, Dad, and Will all of her projects.

Here she is modeling her new barrettes:

We went to a birthday party on Saturday and Will loved playing in the girl's room.

On Sunday, we went to an Easter festival and met the Easter bunny.

The bunny gave the kids suckers and those kept them busy through an entire puppet show!

St. Patrick's Day Pics

Here are our little leprechauns decked out in their green for St. Patrick's Day!

Blair and Sydney

One of our neighbors is a three year-old named Sydney who is just Blair's age.  They are now best friends, and even better, Sydney and her parents have Disney passes!  Last night, we went out there for dinner and the two of them were too cute:

Here is a video of them too:

Date Nights and Winter Fun

Here are some random pictures we have taken over the past few months.  Brack and I have been lucky to go out on two dates!!!!  We went out in Seal Beach while Grandmom and Grandad were visiting and had a great dinner.

The Saturday after Valentine's Day, we went to Disneyland for dinner.  It was so nice to enjoy a meal without kids!

Of course we have had plenty of family fun too.  Blair has discovered pigtails.

Brack and the kids have been on a couple bike rides.

Boys love their afternoon naps.

And cookies are always a hit.  Especially chocolate ones.

Lake Arrowhead

We took the kids to Lake Arrowhead this weekend to see snow.  Blair learned about snow last month at preschool and they had never seen any in real life, so we have been talking up snow for the past few weeks.  Every time one of them would act up, we would claim if they weren't good, they wouldn't get to go see the snow.

Unfortunately, there wasn't much snow.  We found a couple of patches at the house we rented.  Blair got right to shoveling!

We had dinner at a 1950s diner one night.

We checked out Lake Arrowhead Village and fed the ducks.

The highlight of the trip was the tubing park.  Most parks have a height or age limit, but this one was "parental discretion" only, which was perfect.

By the end, Blair was even going down some of the hills by herself!

After a couple of runs, Will was content to sit in the snow and wait for Blair.

Both kids decided that they needed a snow snack.

On our last night, Brack built a fire and we hung out on the couch.  What a great getaway!
