Chuck E. Cheese

We went to Chuck E. Cheese this morning for Blair's first visit. We weren't too sure what she would think of all the activity, but all things considered, she did pretty well. Most of the games are too advanced for her, but they had a toddler section, which was a big hit. This is probably the cutest picture:

Blair is really into slides right now:

She loved riding on the cars...

Blair: Tea Party Princess

We had a great Christmas morning opening presents. By far, Blair's favorite was her new Disney princess tea party set.

Dad also loves drinking tea with his little princess:

Blair Rides the Mall Train

We went to the mall this morning for some last minute shopping, and to my surprise, Blair really wanted to ride the train. Normally, she is extremely cautious about ride-type things, but she ran right up to the gate and said, "up." Once it was time to get on the train, she walked up and climbed in all by herself. It is a little hard to see in the video, but once going, she alternated between wanting to be scared and squealing with laughter. She had a great time.

Thanksgiving

We are back from our annual Thanksgiving trip to Alabama, although we still haven't gotten around to unpacking completely yet. Maybe this weekend. Anyway, we had a great visit with Brack's side of the family and Blair had so much fun charming everyone.

Here is a rare picture of Brack and me:

Blair is such a little performer:

Pebble Beach

This is a little late, but I am finally getting around to posting some pictures from our Pebble Beach trip.

Here we are ready for dinner one night:

Blair's first USC game

Two weekends ago, we had the wonderful idea of taking Blair to a USC tailgate and to the game. We had realistic expectations and a goal of making it until halftime. Blair actually did pretty well, considering her nap schedule was messed up and it was a long day.

She really is happy in this picture, but I think that the sun was just in her eyes.

Brack's birthday visit to the park

This morning we drove to Irvine Park for a fun family day on Brack's birthday. We walked around the zoo for awhile, and then had a picnic lunch. Because Halloween is just around the corner, the park had a pumpkin patch set up. We rode the train around the park area and then we let Blair loose to "pet" the pumpkins. After a few minutes, she warmed up to them and we were able to get a couple of cute shots.

Here we are walking around the zoo:

Walking!

It seems as if Blair has been teetering on the edge of walking for months now, but I think we are finally making some progress.

Park Pictures

A few weeks ago, my mom's group had a photographer come to our park play date to take pictures of the kids. Here are Blair's shots:

Blair - Future Tennis Star

My parents bought Blair a tennis dress when they visited Wimbledon this summer. I figured I would start getting her used to the sport early. Presenting...Blair - future tennis star:

Orange County Fair

We visited the Orange County Fair today and saw a lot of "interesting" things. It was amazing the stuff they had out there.

Blair was a little tentative at the petting zoo at first, but she petted a few of the goats.

We couldn't believe they had elephant rides, and were even more surprised they let us bring Blair on it too. Blair screamed bloody murder through 99 percent of the ride though, but managed to stop for one picture.

She loved the baby chicks though. These were more her speed.

Not so much for the photo op with Mom though.

Of course, being a county fair, there was every type of fried food imaginable. This was the grossest we found (yes, that is chicken in between two doughnuts):

I did not try the chicken doughnut, but did brave the fried oreos. Yum.
