Lima, Peru

We arrived in Lima, Peru on Saturday and had a great time seeing the city.  We stayed at the Marriott in Miraflores, which is right on the ocean.  We had both sun and clouds as you can see from the two pictures:

Our first order of business was ceviche for lunch.  So yummy!

We took a guided tour of Museo Larco in the afternoon, which houses tons of pre-Columbian art and artifacts.

On Sunday morning, we did a walking tour of Central Lima.  Most of the sights were unfortunately closed due to elections.  Apparently, the entire city practically shuts down because of mandatory voting.

We still were able to see many things, including San Francisco Church:

Pumpkin Patch 2014

It's hard to believe, but the pumpkin patch has been in full swing for over a week now.  We braved the 90 degree heat and checked it out this morning to enjoy the day off of school.  Here are the annual pumpkin pictures, including a "scary" face one:

The kids really enjoyed the rides and fun this year.

It was a hot one but I'm sure we will be back again before Halloween actually arrives for some more fun.

Will's first day of preschool

Will started preschool this morning and is in Ms. Amanda's class.  He was very excited to see that a few of his friends from the summer program were in his same class.

Blair starts kindergarten!

Our big girl started kindergarten this morning at St. Hedwig.  She was all excited and ready to go bright and early.

Summer Pool Fun

We went to Laguna Niguel this afternoon to visit our friends, the Thompsons.  Blair, Will, and their son, Eli had a great time playing together in the pool.  Brack shot some awesome GoPro footage.
