We took the kids to Lake Arrowhead this weekend to see snow. Blair learned about snow last month at preschool and they had never seen any in real life, so we have been talking up snow for the past few weeks. Every time one of them would act up, we would claim if they weren't good, they wouldn't get to go see the snow.
Unfortunately, there wasn't much snow. We found a couple of patches at the house we rented. Blair got right to shoveling!
We had dinner at a 1950s diner one night.
We checked out Lake Arrowhead Village and fed the ducks.
The highlight of the trip was the tubing park. Most parks have a height or age limit, but this one was "parental discretion" only, which was perfect.
By the end, Blair was even going down some of the hills by herself!
After a couple of runs, Will was content to sit in the snow and wait for Blair.
Both kids decided that they needed a snow snack.
On our last night, Brack built a fire and we hung out on the couch. What a great getaway!
