Golfing in Virginia

Brack and Bill played golf two mornings at the Wintergreen Resort. The courses were Devil's Knob and Stoney Creek. Here are some highlights:

USC v. Virginia

For the first USC football game of the season, we played the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Although it was about 90 degrees in the shade, we walked around the campus before the game. Here we are in front of the Rotunda.

A cool picture of the stadium before the game started as the teams were warming up:

Washington DC

We headed east for the USC/Virginia football game last weekend, and we were able to see some of our friends in D.C. on Thursday night. Here we are with Beau, Chris, and Michelle.

On Friday morning, we braved the rain and toured the International Spy Museum.

At the Natural History Museum, Mom and I went through a live butterfly exhibit.

Apparently I was popular with the butterflies:

Some awesome pictures from the National Gallery:

Luckily the rain stopped just long enough to get a couple of pictures on the Mall.

We also toured the Holocaust Museum, which was amazing.

The Castle at the Smithsonian:

On Friday night, we went to The Capital Grille for our last night in D.C.

Coeur d'Alene

I was in the Pacific Northwest on business last week, and had the luxury of staying the weekend in Coeur d'Alene with Dad. Below is the infamous floating green (#14) at The Coeur d'Alene. I had been looking forward to playing this course with Dad for months.
Dad and I before teeing off...

Only 25% of golfers hit the green on their first try. I hit the green and was ten feet away from the pin.

Happy Anniversary!

On our second night in San Diego, we went out to Nobu for dinner.

They even had a special dessert prepared for us!

Then we went to Balboa Park where we saw a Shakespeare play at an outdoor theatre. The buildings there are absolutely beautiful.

4th of July

After a full day at Sea World and dinner at an Italian restaurant in the gas lamp district, Brack and I watched fireworks from the harbor in downtown San Diego. We could see six different shows going on the same time!
